The Class 9600 steam locomotive is distinctively representative of the Taisho period. These locomotives were affectionately known as "Kyuroku (96)", and it is from this special moment in history that this museum is named. This steam locomotive is one of the exhibits in the museum, where it continues to leave a proud and magnificent impression. On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, the Class 9600 steam locomotive runs three times per day using air compression. Passenger cars are linked to the locomotive for those wish to ride on the train. The fare is 300 yen for passengers 4 years and older.
